Established 1916
Purchased in 1916 by Alex Failoni and wife Rose from the Lemp brewery, it was opened as a bar and restaurant in 1933 . This year marks Failoni's 98th anniversary.Located at the edge of Dogtown in the 6700 block of Manchester. Failoni's is open Tuesday thru Friday for lunch and dinner and Saturday for dinner only. Call ahead for reservations if you plan on coming for dinner. Dinner at Failoni's on Friday night is a throwback to the days of Chicago's Villa Venice Cafe, New York's Copa, and other popular dinner/nightclubs of the 40's 50's and 60's.The food is Excellent and in huge portions.From the Sicillian Steak, to the Tuna Steak, you will not walk away unsatisfied.Rosemary and her grandson Joey do the cooking and also makes the best Italian green olive salad and flash fried spinach you have ever tasted. If you're ordering food, this is a must! They also put together a daily special for lunch and one for every Friday night.

Today we remember Alex Failoni Sr as it has been three years since his passing. There are so many things that we miss about him. He was a husband, father, grandfather, and friend to so many. One of his favorite places was sitting at the "back table" at Failoni's with many of the regulars telling stories, laughing, and making memories! My father in law was definitely one of a kind. He loved to see everybody and would let you know if it had been too long since you came to see him. He was about treating each person like they were so important because he truly believed they were. The last couple of years when he was in a nursing facility I truly enjoyed my visits with him. He was still funny, cheery, and full of love! Those are very cherished memories. We are very proud of Failoni granddaughter Rosemary (Rosie) who attends Lindbergh High School and is a member of the Flyerettes Dance squad. She is beautiful both inside and out! She carries a heavy load with school and after school activities as well as life guarding last summer. Always a smile on her face! #loveyourosie
